New to salsa or wanting to build a strong foundation? This class is for you. You’ll learn the basic steps, timing, partner connection, and beginner-friendly turns in a fun, supportive environment. LA Style salsa is one of the most common styles danced at socials, making this a great place to start.

Our Bachata Beginners class is designed for those new to the dance or looking to strengthen their foundational skills. In this class, you'll learn the basic steps, rhythm, and partner work that make Bachata such a fun and captivating dance. We'll guide you through essential techniques, helping you build confidence on the dance floor while enjoying the rich, romantic rhythms of Bachata music. No prior dance experience is necessary, and no partner is required—just come ready to move, have fun, and fall in love with Bachata!

Bachata is a popular Latin dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. Known for its smooth and romantic movements, Bachata is danced to a four-beat rhythm with simple steps that are easy to learn. It’s a social dance that emphasizes connection with your partner and enjoying the music. Perfect for beginners, Bachata is a great way to get moving, meet new people, and experience the joy of dancing!

Our Bachata Open Level class is for dancers who have completed our Beginners course or already feel confident with their basic steps. This class builds on your foundation with more playful footwork, smoother body movement, stronger partner connection, and deeper musicality.

Our Couples Performance Team is all about bringing the joy and energy of salsa and bachata to Nelson. We perform at local events throughout the year, showcasing the beauty and connection of partner dancing. To be part of this team, dedication is key—you’ll also need to participate in other classes to refine your skills.
