PROGRESSIVE SALSA - LA Style

Ready to take your salsa to the next level? This class is designed for dancers who have completed Salsa Beginners/Level 1 or who already feel comfortable with their salsa basic steps, rhythm, and partner work fundamentals.
This class builds strong LA-style foundations while introducing dynamic patterns, clean technique, and better connection. Progressive format—expect to grow week by week. No partner needed.

Couples Rueda de Casino Intermediate (Cuban Style)
Ready for something dynamic and social? Rueda de Casino is a Cuban-style salsa danced in a circle, with partner changes and group patterns called out in real time.
This class is for dancers who already feel comfortable with salsa basics and want to improve musicality, timing, and group connection.

Our Couples Performance Team is all about bringing the joy and energy of salsa and bachata to Nelson. We perform at local events throughout the year, showcasing the beauty and connection of partner dancing. To be part of this team, dedication is key—you’ll also need to participate in other classes to refine your skills.

Step into the rhythm and let your feet do the talking in our Salsa Shines class! This open-level class is designed for dancers of all backgrounds, from beginners to seasoned dancers. We’ll focus on footwork, styling,history and body movement that will enhance your solo dancing and add flair to your salsa routines.
Each class begins with a warm-up, followed by fun and dynamic shine combinations that you can use on the dance floor. If needed, we’ll provide slight variations so you can work at your own level, ensuring everyone gets the most out of the class. Whether you’re looking to improve your technique, boost your confidence, or simply have a great time dancing, this class offers something for everyone. No partner needed—just bring your energy and passion for salsa!

SENSUAL HEELS
Wednesdays 6:15 - 7:30 pm
Sensual Heels is a confidence-boosting dance class designed to help you connect with your feminine energy through slow, fluid movement and empowering choreography — all done in heels.
We’ll focus on body control, musicality, and expression while exploring sensuality in a supportive and safe space. Dance heels are not required, but if you choose to wear them, please ensure they are proper dance heels — meaning: flexible suede or leather dance soles, ankle support, and stability designed for movement, very different from regular fashion/street heels. This is not only for your safety but also to help us take care of our beautiful old dance floor, which we’re so grateful to be able to move on.

Take your dancing to the next level with our Ladies Performance Team! This dedicated group of dancers trains throughout the year, performing at local events and celebrating the vibrant spirit of Latin dance in our community.
Each year, the team also has the opportunity to represent Nelson at a national or international Latin Dance Congress, where we train, perform, and connect with dancers from around the world.
The Ladies Performance Team is designed for dancers who are ready to deepen their commitment, challenge themselves, and grow both technically and artistically, all while being part of a supportive and empowering community.
