Day of the Dead returns to Nelson for its 4th year!

Rooted in the Mexican tradition of Día de Muertos, this celebration brings our community together through art, culture, remembrance, and shared experiences.

For 2026, the event continues to grow as a cross-cultural celebration, creating space to honour Día de Muertos while also learning from the ways different cultures and communities explore remembrance, ancestry, memory, and connection.

This year's celebration is being created together with artists, cultural contributors, performers, food vendors, makers, and community members.
